If you have an upcoming stay at any Hyatt property, the World of Hyatt personal and business cards can help save you a ton of money on that trip and beyond.
Let’s take a look at the offers on both cards and see how the current offers compare to their respective offer histories.
World of Hyatt Credit Card
Welcome offer: Earn up to 65,000 points: 35,000 points after spending $3,000 within the first three months from account opening, plus up to 30,000 more points by earning an additional point per dollar on purchases made in the first six months or the first $15,000 spent.
TPG values this bonus at $1,105, making this the best welcome offer we’ve ever seen on this card.
Annual fee: $95
Earning rate: 9 points total for Hyatt stays — 4 points per dollar at Hyatt hotels and 5 points per dollar as a World of Hyatt member — plus 2 points per dollar at restaurants, on airline tickets purchased directly from the airlines, on local transit and commuting and on fitness club and gym memberships, and 1 point per dollar on everything else.
Why we like it: The World of Hyatt card has a number of valuable ongoing perks, the best of which is the annual free night certificate at a Category 1-4 Hyatt property, which you’ll receive every account anniversary. Annual fee: $199
Earning rate: 9 points total for Hyatt stays — 4 points per dollar at Hyatt hotels and 5 points per dollar as a World of Hyatt member — plus 2 points per dollar spent on fitness club and gym membership purchases as well as in your top three spending categories each quarter through Dec. 31.
Starting Jan. 1, 2025, that will change to 2 points per dollar in your top two categories. Categories include:
- Dining
- Airline tickets purchased directly from an airline
- Car rental agencies
- Local transit and commuting
- Gas stations
- Internet, cable and phone services
- Social media and search engine advertising

The points-earning rates will be adjusted automatically to the categories where you spend the most each quarter, so there’ll be no need to select your preferred categories. Beyond your bonus categories, you’ll earn 1 point per dollar on all purchases.
Why we like it: The World of Hyatt Business card offers plentiful value to Hyatt loyalists looking to spend their way toward status benefits, with perks like five tier-qualifying night credits for every $10,000 you spend each calendar year and up to $100 in Hyatt credits annually.

Why should you get a Hyatt card?
Both the World of Hyatt personal and business cards offer plentiful benefits for Hyatt loyalists.
You’ll get automatic Discoverist status simply by having either card, which includes benefits such as late checkout, preferred rooms and a 10% points bonus on eligible purchases.
You’ll also enjoy a number of travel protections like baggage delay insurance, lost luggage reimbursement, trip interruption and cancellation insurance, and more.
Plus, you’ll get the annual free night certificate mentioned previously, which is extremely valuable for any Hyatt enthusiast.
In addition to all the perks listed above, World of Hyatt cardholders can save even more at Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection brands for a limited time. For stays between Jan. 8 and March 3, World of Hyatt cardholders will receive 5,000 points per three-night stay at Inclusive Collection brands, including Hyatt Ziva, Secrets Resorts & Spas and Breathless Resorts & Spas.
That means every time you stay at one of those properties for at least three nights, you’ll earn an easy 5,000 points as a cherry on top.
To participate, members must register for the promotion by Jan. 31 and complete their stay between Jan. 8 and March 3. You can earn a maximum of two bonuses with this promotion, for a total of 10,000 points.
Bottom line
Both the World of Hyatt and World of Hyatt Business cards have plenty to offer Hyatt loyalists, with an annual free night certificate and lots of travel perks and protections for a reasonable annual fee. And with the current offers, now is a great time to apply if you’ve been considering doing so.
