Welcome offer: Earn up to 75,000 World of Hyatt points: 60,000 points after spending $5,000 within the first three months from account opening, plus 15,000 points after spending $12,000 in the first six months from account opening.

Earning rate: 9 points total for Hyatt stays — 4 points per dollar at Hyatt hotels and 5 points per dollar as a World of Hyatt member — plus 2 points per dollar spent on fitness club and gym membership purchases as well as in your top three spending categories each quarter through Dec. 31.
Starting Jan. 1, 2025, that will change to 2 points per dollar in your top two categories. Categories include:
- Dining
- Airline tickets purchased directly from an airline
- Car rental agencies
- Local transit and commuting
- Gas stations
- Internet, cable and phone services
- Social media and search engine advertising
- Shipping
The points-earning rates will be adjusted automatically to the categories where you spend the most each quarter, so there’ll be no need to select your preferred categories. Beyond your bonus categories, you’ll earn 1 point per dollar on all purchases.

Why should you get a Hyatt card?
Both the World of Hyatt personal and business cards offer plentiful benefits for Hyatt loyalists.
You’ll get automatic Discoverist status simply by having either card, which includes benefits such as late checkout, preferred rooms and a 10% points bonus on eligible purchases.

To participate, members must register for the promotion by Jan. 31 and complete their stay between Jan. 8 and March 3. You can earn a maximum of two bonuses with this promotion, for a total of 10,000 points.
Bottom line
